Here's To The Red
The Red River Gorge is known worldwide as a haven for outdoor enthusiasts of all types. It lies in the heart of Ale-8 Country – there’s even a 5.12b rated climb called the ALE-8-ONE. As an independent family owned business for four generations, we appreciate the freedom and adventure offered by the Red and want to see it endure for generations to come.
That’s why we are new and proud members of 1% For The Planet – a network of companies and environmental non-profit partners. As part of our 1% For The Planet membership, we are donating 1% of our iconic Returnable Bottle sales and our new 16oz can sales to LOCAL non-profits, including the Red River Gorge Climbers’ Coalition.
Ale-8-One soft drink has been bottled in green glass in Winchester, Kentucky, since 1926. The only soft drink invented in Kentucky still in existence, the proprietary blend is flavored with real ginger and citrus, and contains less carbonation and fewer calories than conventional sodas. The company's founder and inventor G.L. Wainscott developed the recipe. To this day, the company continues to be independent and family owned. Wainscott's great-great-nephew, Fielding Rogers hand crafts every batch of Ale-8.
Ale-8 is available nationwide online, at all Cracker Barrel stores and Fresh Market locations in addition to being widely available throughout the southeast in Kroger and Harris Teeter stores.
